By submitting a booking to Torran Self Catering Villa whether using telephone, post or e-mail guests agree to the following:
The number of people occupying the property shall be specified at the time of booking, and shall not exceed the specified number during the booked stay.
To pay a deposit of 25% to confirm the booking and pay the full balance due not less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. If the booking is made less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, the full amount is payable immediately to confirm the booking. The owners reserve the right to refuse entry if full payment has not been received 8 weeks prior to the start of the booked period.
To notify any cancellation by telephone as soon as possible, confirm in writing and pay any monies due under clause 2. If the accommodation can be re-let for the booked period at the full rate a refund will be made of the full amount paid (subject to a deduction of a £25.00 administrative fee). In other circumstances a partial refund may be made at the owner's discretion. To safe-guard against cancellation costs and other unforeseen eventualities we do recommend guests arrange Holiday Insurance.
To send a separate cheque for a Good Housekeeping Deposit of £100.00 to be paid when paying the balance of the holiday. This will be refunded or shredded 1 week after the end of the holiday subject to a satisfactory housekeeping report. Please make cheques payable to Mhairi Weir. And post to 6 Perdieus Mount, Dunfermline, Fife, KY12 7XE
To vacate the property by 10am on the final day of the let, unless otherwise agreed. Incoming guests may arrive from 4pm onwards. Any delayed departure attracts additional charges. Changeover day is Sunday.
To use the property solely for its purpose as self-catering holiday accommodation.
That the property or any part thereof may not be sublet.
Pets are not allowed. Arrangements could be made to accommodate guide dogs or hearing dogs for the deaf.
To reimburse the owner in respect of any loss or damage beyond reasonable wear and tear. To inform the owner of any defects or damages detected during their stay. Failure to do so will result in the tenant being liable.
To please keep the premises in a clean and tidy condition at all times, and to leave the premises at the end of the hire period in the same condition as found at the start. Specifically no rubbish must be left in the house, all dishes must be washed and put away, and ovens/fridge cleaned. Cleaning instructions will be in Torran's folder. Soft cloth only to be used on splashback of cooker. Anything abrasive will scratch.
This is a non-smoking property. The owner's reserve the right to retain the good housekeeping deposit if this is not adhered to, and to charge for any additional cleaning which may be incurred.
That the owners shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or mishap to persons or property whilst on or using these premises, or any illnesses or injury arising from any cause whatsoever.
To accept that should the property become unavailable or unsuitable for letting subsequent to booking through any cause, the owner's liability shall be limited to the amount of rent paid.
To allow the Owners or their agents access to the property at all reasonable times.
To accept that the property must not be used for party purposes under any circumstances.
To prevent any member of their party from causing a nuisance or disturbance to other residents or occupiers in the neighbourhood. In the event of any problem arising the owner or their agents have the right to ask the tenant to leave.
